Downgrade Nexus 5x to 5.1.1 and root

I am looking to downgrade the new NExus 5x to 5.1.1 Lollipop and root it. Can this be done?

Re: Downgrade Nexus 5x to 5.1.1 and root

If it could, it might brick the device.

Dude, I don't mean to sound like a jerk but reading through the various sub-forums here you have more problems with everything electronic than anyone I've ever seen. Rooting your 5X is the last thing you need to be doing.

Why do you want to? Had my S4 rooted but with pure Android on my 6P I have no need to root.

I knew it was unregistered but was unaware it was assigned to many. Now I know, LOL! Guess that answers why he sounded like a dee-dee-dee. ha!

If you want 5.1.1 on a Nexus, I'll trade you my Nexus 4 for your 5X.

Google Nexus 6P

More than likely you will not be able to because the phone was released with 6.0 so there probably was never a build for 5.1.1 for the phone.

Re: Downgrade Nexus 5x to 5.1.1 and root

There's a piece of Software called 'Nexus Root Toolkit by a developer called WugFresh (link to site below).

I used it to flash 4.4.4 to my N7 cause Lollipop made it unusable. Dunno of it works on phones but it may be worth a try.

You just have to download the version of Android you want from the Android developers page.

Nexus 5X is the business!
