Downgrade to 4.2.2 from 4.4.2 Moto X

I have a Moto X on 4.4.2 that I want to downgrade back to 4.2.2. I want to do this because it was faster on my phone and I liked the blue status bar better. It is stock and on Verizon. Is this possible? If so please tell me how and thanks in advance for your help!
