Has anyone tried to downgrade the Android 7.x back to 6.0.1? Wondering if it fixes the issues on the Nexus 9.I was going to try it but the developer site instructions aren't making it easy.

But, do you really think we're going to get any more updates to fix issues? I think the only updates will be security updates.

It's confirmed.... Nexus 6 and 9 WILL NOT get the 7.1.2 update.

So I downgraded to Lollipop 5.0.2 using the Nexus Tool, and factory image from Google. Nougat killed my Nexus 9 with heat and lag in web browsing and games. Clash Royale froze to the point that I had to hard reset my tablet.

Lollipop 5.0.2 runs amazing! And I turned off OTA Android update notifications in settings.

Of course this will only work until apps stop supporting Lollipop, but it's worth it for now.

This is dreadful. Tab freezes regularly now. Keyboard just stops at times. Chrome super slow to update pages...
