I've tried to downgrade my 2012 N7 to Kitkat using Nexus Root Kit, and it wouldn't go past the white Google logo. I then tried using the Android Studio program, but fell down at the step where you move the factory image into the Platform Tools folder, because there is no Platform Tools folder anywhere on my PC. Where the hell is it??
I then tried the Minimal ABD and Fastboot but I cannot work out how you sideload the thing. The N7 is on the screen saying 'now send the packgae you want to apply' but it keeps saying 'cannot read kitkat.zip'
Can anyone please give me some really simple instructions? I've spent all day looking at various guides and forums and none of them are working.
