Download Folder Empty....

I use Dolphin Browser HD and have download a dozen or so things, but I only have one file in my download folder when I use the "download" app on the phone. Is there any way to get this shortcut to direct to the SDcard download folder, it appears by default its set to an internal storage folder?

I also just realized I have two download folders on my SD card. "Download" and "download" both have identical files in them.....

Had the same confusion. Sorry I don't know of a way to set that differently.. when I download things I just use Root Explorer to bring up the SD card download folder... obviously requires you to be rooted. Probably some non-root-required file explorer can let you get there?

ya the stock file explorer on the phone doesnt even show a download folder. Even did a search and nothing came up......really wish the file structure on this phone would get figured out. Think i might just root this bad boy and get it over with, just worried ill screw something up lol.

I hear ya.. But let me say, this is my first android phone, first time doing any kind of rooting obv, and as long as you follow the directions and use your head you will be fine. I've had zero problems since rooting because whatever I want to do I just make sure I read up on it first and don't do anything stupid, lol. I'm sure you'll be fine if you just do it so you can access some basic stuff, and then you can always try out more the more comfortable you get.

I've read numerous times that the odd storage features of this phone are going to make sense once we get Ice Cream Sandwich. None of the writers that have made that claim have gone on to explain exactly what it means. I guess we will see soon - true or false.

I really hope so, considering Motorola said their file structure is working as intended and no patch was coming for it. Would make sense, because you sure as hell wouldnt think its working as intended now.
