Who should i ask? I have the Galaxy s7. I have a Nikon d3300 camera. When i wirelessly copy the pictures from my camera to my phone.... am not allowed to send a pic via text message attachment. I get a message...uunsupported media type. Select different media. The file extension of pics taken with the phone is .jpg..... lowercase. On pics downloaded to phone the extension is . JPG. JPG.

Are you able to open and view the picture on the phone?

What resolution are you trying to send? Sending a photo through text message is usually limited to a certain size/megabyte. Maybe your photos are to large.

Oh wait, hang on--you said that the photos that get downloaded to the phone from the camera have a double .JPG extension? So in other words, the file name of the photo would be "test.JPG.JPG"? If so, what happens if you edit the file name to get rid of one of those .JPG extensions?

I will try to figure out how to rename with different extension. I'm pretty much a novice. Thanks for your response.

Ps...the file is 477kb which I just tried to rename. I was only able to change the 1st .JPG. Now the file is named test.jpg.JPG. I'll keep trying.

Just backspace over that first ".jpg" and see if that helps. (In other words, don't try to change that text from upper case to lower case--just delete it.)
