can I get some speed test reports from people running froyo dk28?

I was just on 4g and i wanted to compare the 4g vs 3g speed on where I was. 4g died out before I could finish the test as I'm in the car.
But on 3g my speeds are pretty crappy. They seem about the same as before we got the di18 update that fixed our data cap. I got about 400 or a lil more. And about the same upload.

I'm running FroYo Rooted, but otherwise stock. the speed tests below were three consecutive tests run holding the phone the same way in the same location using Speedtest.net. I had run a dozen or so before recording these in each mode, and 3G/4G results were all over the board (everything from 0-2MB/s Down and 0-1.5MB/s Up). Once I decided to hold it the same way in the same location, they started being more consistent.

3G:
0.13MB/s Down, 0.02MB/s Up
0.11MB/s Down, 0.15MB/s Up
0.12MB/s Down, 0.14MB/s Up

4G:
0.80MB/s Down, 0.12MB/s Up
0.63MB/s Down, 0.08MB/s Up
1.04MB/s Down, 0.13MB/s Up

WiFi:
6.69MB/s Down, 1.29MB/s Up
4.24MB/s Down, 1.04MB/s Up
7.39MB/s Down, 0.54MB/s Up

Averages:
3G: 0.12MB/s Down, 0.10MB/s Up
4G: 0.82MB/s Down, 0.11MB/s Up
WiFi: 6.11MB/s Down, 0.96MB/s Up

Here in Las Vegas I tested just my 4g and 3g and here are my results. I am running stock 2.1 on a brand new epic.

5517 4g
1125

2332
1074

3794
1124

-----------------

495 3g
187

295
197

525
273

Just remember that Las Vegas has had 4g for over a year now as we were one of the first launch cities and our wimax network might be a little more robust compared to a newly launched city.

thanks guys.

but beerman, see what i mean with the low speeds?
.12 mb is 120 kb which is diddly squat. after the di18 update for my 2.1 epic, i was getting 1.1 mb pretty consistently

epic 4g fiver - can you tell me what build your running your tests on?
hit menu>settings>about phone - and then look under baseband version or build number and tell me what it says under there? please

it should say "di17" or di18 or di27. something like that
because since you said its brand new, im not sure if you have the di18 update which fixed the slow down/upload speeds. thanks

thanks for getting back to me.

puts my mind at rest. maybe its just sprints fault

EDIT: well whatever it was, i think its fixed as i just got a 1.4 mb download, although it was only a .048 upload - that only happened cuz it glitched

Yeah, when I do speedtest.net, I'm usually all over the place. I've seen some great results immediately followed by a rediculously low result. This may be the server I'm pinging, as although it is the closest geographically, it is in a SMALL town, so I'd question the reliablility/ability of their equipment.

And even though I'm in one of the first 10 cities to receive 4G, establishing a stable connection to it is laughable!

FYI - the new version of Viper ROM has a Data Service Governer Killer that is supposed to fix the up/down data speeds of Froyo.
