Download video off YouTube using a Galaxy S5 by simply pressing the video screen.

Android version 6.0.1. Samsung-SM-G900A. Last Friday night I was able to download a video off of YouTube using a Galaxy S5 by simply pressing and holding the video screen while it played. A dialogue box popped up asking if I wanted to save the video and it downloaded to my phone's Download folder. I cannot reproduce that behavior. Very odd. Has anyone else been able to do this. I was using the stock YouTube app. I've tried downloading the same exact video and it doesn't work. I can't even find anything on line that leads me to believe I should have been able to download the video like that in the first place.

I remeber that behavior happening on some internet sites, but never on youtube

And it's against YouTube's Terms of Service to download a video from the site.

You can't and we won't help as it's against their Terms of Service as mentioned above.

The way to download YouTube videos for offline viewing is to subscribe to YouTube Premium, which has that feature. End of story. Thread closed.
