I have the A500 running 3.2 I am fairly new to the tablet world and I really like the Iconiatab. I did just install Netflix and it is running fine and so is the A500 meaning video on the outward camera.
But my question is and the reason I bought the A500 I want to rent movies and watch them when wifi is not available, like on a plane. I see the market has some for rent is there other sites you would recommend for movie rental "not streaming"?

Thanks
Ron

If I'm not mistaken, you're asking if there is a place where you can download full version films? Like avi or Divx? I think if you Google, you can find some places that legally can let you download full featured films at retail prices.

However, it is acceptable to convert your "owned" dvd's into digitized format for use on your own device. At least in a lot of countries, like where I live.

As a member of AC, you must understand, it is against forum rules to discuss illegal activity, and that includes discussion of things such as illegal copies of films and audio.

In some countries, it is not illegal to "rip" your dvd and convert it to digitized format to play on your own device.

Contrary to prior belief. It's up to the laws of the country you live in.

No, no, I am not asking for illegal methods of viewing movies. The Android Market has movies for rent, I want to download it and view it off line (no internet conn), I beleive the term is "pinning and un-pinning". I would be done with the movie after viewing.
I was looking for other places to rent movies, is the pinning option work for Netflix?
Sorry if I confused the issue. Newbie here.

Didn't mean to give the wrong impression, but believe me, at times, people wish to know how to download illegal copies of films, or other illegal activities. People I think can go out and find this on their own.

To be honest, I don't know of any places that allow you to download full films for a specific period of time. I suppose it would be possible, provided you use their player, and they timestamped the expiration date into the film-file itself. If I get time this week, I'll take a peek.

Sorry for the confusion ;)

No problem, like I said I am a newbie to tablets. I bought this on a whim while I was i Hawaii dreading the 7.5 hour plane ride back. I wanted to watch a movie or 2 on the plane where there is no wifi. But I did not have time to check it out before I got on the plane. It might not be possible.
Thanks for the input and any more you might offer.

As far as someone offering a movie that is "Time Stamped" Dish does it all the time with their DVR, you rent the movie watch it and it has a limited time to view it again before you have to pay for it again. But I am probably telling you something you already know.
