Downloader will not install

I have downloaded the APK for Downloader and when I try to install it I get the Install failed message.I have done this dozens of times before.

I know one reason for this is that there could be remnants of a previous installation on my Minix U9h Android box but I have searched the files ES file Manager and I cannot find anything.
My Minix box runs Android 6 and stock Android not Android TV

Has anybody got any ideas?

Are you able to install it via the Play Store?

It looks like that app can be used to download illegally copied material. Their disclaimer warns everyone that it's up to the user to download public domain material only. Be aware that people who download pirated material have faced steep fines in the past.

You can use it to load APKs onto Firesticks and Android Boxes It used to be an Amazon product but Troypoint bought it about a year ago

Ok -- then are you able to install it via the Play Store, or does that box not have access to the Play Store?

Have you also tried contacting Troypoint directly? They probably have no significant support team, but still worth trying.

Thanks for replying. The App in the Playstore is only for Android TV and not for stock Android which is what is on my box. I have not seen any means of contacting Troypoint. Troypoint tell you on their site to load it through your browser, which is what I have tried to do.I will leave it for now and hopefully I will find the answer in the fututre.
