"Downloading" group Texts from iPhone users

I just got my Samsung S4 and loving it until i got a group text that required me to hit a download button every time someone replied or someone created a group text. I see this is a popular topic but i have yet to find anyone that said they fixed it. So, my question is, is there something in the settings i need to click to get this to work properly? If i have to download 3rd party apps or some technical work i am just going to have to go back to the iPhone but i need to make the call rather quickly. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just back out of the message and reopen it and don't have to download it. I use go sms.

It's an mms so it takes a sec to download. Make sure auto retrieve is set
