Downloading mms epic 4g touch

On my previous htc phone i was able to turn off mobile data while i was at school and then turn it back on and download mms messages when i click on them but on the e4gt the mms just says downloading even after i turn data back on. I usually have to restart the phone to get the message. Anyone know a work around for this. I dont want to leave data always on because i want to save my battery at school but i still want to recieve mms messages when i turn data back on. Thanks for any help

Did check in settings to see if Auto retrieve for MMS was checked?

Ya. it is on. I actually am going to turnn it off though so i can manually turn on my data before it trys downloading the picture. thanks for your help

That's probably why it's downloading because u have that check. Disconnecting it may solve your problem, good luck.
