Perhaps this is a dumb question, but when I'm connected to wifi at home, I have JuiceDefender set to turn my data off. When data is off, I can do anything as I normally would(internet browsing, apps that use the internet, etc), however my phone will not send MMS messages or download MMS attachments. Is there any particular reason for this?

Yea, MMS must be sent/recieved through cellular data, wifi doesn't count.

really? is there a reason behind it? cause i came here looking for the exact same answer.

i personally think its not a good idea from a consumer point of view as its a hassle to turn wifi on and off just to get mms. but from the business point, its gets us to use their data. blah. :-\

MMS doesn't count towards your data, it's part of your messaging plan.
