Dozens of support topics for X2 available from Motorola

Well, the stock battery on Droid X and X2 looks to be identical in every respect (1540mAh). The BH6X battery is 1880mAh.

In very rough calculations, my X used to be close to empty when 5pm rolled around on an average workday. Of course, most of my time with the X and the stock battery was back in the 2.1 days last fall. I've had the extended battery on it ever since right before Froyo hit.

Now with the BH6X I can squeeze a bit more out of it and make it until 6:30 or 7pm easily with the extended battery. I am definitely expecting a battery life hit if I go from the X to the X2 but I hope that GB will mitigate it somewhat and also chalk it up the price paid for superior CPU/GPU power and screen resolution.

But yeah, I am definitely holding out hope that that Gingerbread may improve battery performance somewhat on both the X and X2. I know that having the official Gingerbread installed on my Galaxy Tab has made for a considerable improvement in battery life over Froyo.

Hint: If you eligible for an employer or corporate discount from VZW, you can probably pick up an extended battery + cover for around $25 to $28ish if it's on sale. I bought 2 of 'em that way a few months back.

The car mount is superb and worth every penny. I prefer it over myOG Droid's car mount.

Good thing you brought the employer thing back up. Droid X accessories are cheap, and if the DX2 will fit in em.... hmmm....

Great info thanks!
By the way, I am on an original X w/ Gingerbread and have the Motorola extended battery. The battery life is phenomenal. My new X2 is coming Thursday and I will swap batteries, I will let everyone know how the extended does on the stock X2.
