Drawing on the calendar question...

How come when I use the stylus to draw and make notes on the calendar it does not show up on the calendar widget? I have to open the calendar in order to see my notes.

Yea, in the advertisement for the note 2 they show this capability but I have never gotten it to work. They also show photo editor working but that wasnt included either.

After appr. 2 months the official photo editor was ready and can now be downloaded exclusively for the samsung appstore. You may try and go there and see if you can download the calender function.

In portrait view, month mode in S-Planner you can draw on the calendar. This is the only support for drawing.

Also, since there is no widget for S-Planner you do not have an option for a calendar widget with annotations.
