Which app is giving you problems? Usually clearing the cache for the app and removing it from recent apps it's enough to fix this issue. Have you already tried it?

Even with replacement Note 5, software all running smoothly, no social media, no other issues...

The dreaded spinning wheel has returned! Don't understand it, this forum is the only place it's happening.

I was hoping that would go away but it's back.

I have found that sometimes un-installing, then re-installing fixes this. I've had to do this twice so far. I think the issue may be if the app sometimes doesn't sucessfully update or retrieve server information, and corrupts something in the data folder. I believe this to be the culperate, because on the two instances I had the issue, the prior app exits for both occourances were not clean, potentially causing data loss and/or corruption.
