Driving cross country CA to NY...suggestions

So I will be driving cross countryvfrom Los Angels to NYC. I am looking for some suggestions on things to do and see along the way. I already plan on the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. Any other ideas??

I can take any route. I have no preference. When I came from NY I took the southern route, but was in a rush so I didn't see much. I am open to any suggestions.

Colorado and Utah are 2 states worth driving through for the scenery.

Agreed. Driving through western Colorado is amazing.
