Anybody have any idea what this "driving mode" is all about? The car dock mode on the HTC One X is brilliant, can we hope to see something similar on the S3?

Hi

From the manual ( http://www.sammobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/User-Manual-I9300.pdf):- Driving mode ●: Activate Driving mode to provide audible notifications for incoming calls, messages, or event details

Not sure what that means in practice. :)

Possibly speaks names of callers, or reads texts aloud - or is that not possible yet?

Apologies for not embedding my link - and acknowledgements to the jogger poster for finding the manual :D

I sure hope texts can be read aloud. My N97 could do it 3 years ago.

Voice talk on the GNote has "driving mode" though S talk on the GS3 seems a bit more evolved. In driving mode you can have text messages read to you on the GNote but its not the default you have to turn it on. You can dictate texts replies easily as well. Here in the Northeast with handsfree laws and the great car dock for the GNote it works really well. With the GS3's evolved S talk i can't wait to see if its even better
