DROID 2.1 Update thread.

Yup, installed manually first thing this morning, followed the first download link from Android Central. My phone says firmware 2.1-update1, with build number ESE81. I've have issues syncing my calendar since day one, and I wonder if it is time to bite the bullet and reset my phone.....

Installed 2.1. The only problem that I have is I can't make the live wallpapers work correctly with Panda Home.

When you "unlock" the phone (using the slide lock), it reverts to a standard gray screen (with icons). How can I change it in Panda Home to keep the Live wallpaper?

I have installed this update, I had the hacked News/Weather widget and Google goggles. now that I've installed the update, I see them listed twice in the app drawer..

I dont see them listed in the applications though so that I can uninstall one.. how do I get rid of the duplicate icons?

I too have become a big fan of Helix over Panda, far faster. Granted, Panda has a larger feature set.

Regardless of which launcher you use, to make the 'home' button go to the right launcher (if its currently going to stock home):

Settings->Applications->Filters->All
Find 'Home', select it, press 'reset defaults.'

I'm paraphrasing as I'm not looking at it right now, but that should set you straight. Then when you press home it will ask what to use. Check the box for 'use this every time' and make your selection.

Is there supposed to be an actual folder called "root" or is the main-main folder where all the sub folders go. Like the notifications folder and music folder. Sorry for the noob question...don't want to mess up

You're correct in it being the main folder..

I did as well, reboot, that'll fix it.
