I'm bummed. The D4 is a work horse for me & I planned on keeping it until it is non functional. Got mine on launch day back in Feb 2012. Hopefully we see a D5.....

I kinda wish the D4 got up to 4.3, as there are at least two new apps that require it - including the app for Internet/OTA TV service Aereo. Or even to 4.2 for the enhanced lock screen. But it is what it is...

I fully expected 4.1.2 to be the end of the road for the D4.

Probably the same issues as the Galaxy Nexus - TI OMAP support is basically gone.

Plus internal resources are either not there or working on updating the Moto X and the 2013 DROIDs (or working on the Moto G).

I just took a look at XDA, and it appears they have ROMs through JB 4.3 up there. Will the TI OMAP even support non-official 4.4 ROMs?

Yes. But it wouldn't be as good as if TI was involved with the update.
