Thank you! Downloading the free Navigation Shortcut for Maps did it for me. This must be a "generational" thing. It can't be new or updated unless the techs change a bunch of buttons, functions, procedures and colors. WHY? Why'd the "green" indicator on the battery go to plain old not-very-noticeable white? I'd also like to know when someone at Google will "take the challenge" and offer up a single Airplane button again that with one tap turns on/off the airplane mode (I don't need an icon that takes me to the Settings page where I then have to slide the airplane mode on/off).

do htc phones (mine's an htc rezound) come with the google now app or do you have to download it?
