Droid DNA: Text message font size keeps increasing

Anyone else having their font size keep increasing on them? I set the font to small and then pinched it down to the smallest size but most of the time when I go back to a text message thread the size is back to the original larger size. When I click menu/fontsize/ it says it's set to small. This just started about 4 days ago so it's been awhile since I got the last update and nothing has changed that I know of. Any ideas?

Maybe try clearing the cache in settings under messages app. I fond that mine does that periodically, or the font appears to be larger that it really is. Do you have the system font set to small or just the messages font. Because the sizes can be set separately.

Both are set to small, I also cleared the cache. Thanks for the suggestions I'll see if that helps.

I have the same problem! Started about a week ago & it's driving me nuts. I can't find where to clear cache in the message app. Also, I wanted to know if it helped the other user. Thanks!

Go to settings, apps, find the messaging app there and then clear the cache. You can't do it from within the app itself.

I just use a different app for texts. Way more customizable.

make sure the adjust font with volume control is turned off. I had the same thing happening to me. Then I realized the control font size with volume was on. Shut that off and BOOM! Doesn't happen anymore.

I have a Note3 and had the same problem
Open a text message and then press your volume control as if to lower the volume
Sounds a bit weird but this is how to adjust to the font size

This was happening to me as well...what I figured out was that I needed to uncheck the "Use the volume key" under the settings in Messaging. Simply go to Messaging (as if you want to view or send a message), click the menu , scroll down to settings, then go down to "Use the volume key" and uncheck the box. This should address that issue of font changing size everytime you open up a text message. Good Luck!

Ijust restored the original settings and it went awaydid not have any more problems with large font size

Use the side volume buttons while your on your text screen,

It usually happens to me when my screen is still open and I put it in my pocket.

Volume control adjust size -pull up.screen with large font and then use volume bar to down size -worked for me

I cant find adjust Font with Volume setting anywhere that I can find. I've tried the Settings while the app is open and looking in the Apps list. Google Messenging isn't even listed in the Settings/General/Apps list. Frustrating

I also restored it to original settings and that did not work either.
