Wow, the Droid is now only $25 from Amazon and other places- with contract, of course.

Anyone know if Vzn stores will do price matching?

Further reason to return my Droid and wait out the Nexus 1 and Incredible - if I decide to go back, I'll have saved $100!

Verizon stores won't price match it. The reason Amazon and other websites make it so cheap is you're essentially signing a contract with them on top of your VZW contract. If you read the fine print you're agreeing to keep a data/verizon plan for so many months or you owe them both ETFs, instead of just Verizon.

Good looking out though.

6 months with Amazon...so if you don't need to change before then, it's a good deal.

just out of curiosity...why is the price plummeting so quickly? it's still a good phone even with the flurry of phones coming out in the next few months

Who knows? It is coming up to 6 months after release, so perhaps it's just to help keep the sales going. Good deal for anyone that doesn't mind a "lesser" phone!

lesser to what?

Lesser in terms of specs for upcoming devices. And even that's debatable. The N1 and Droid are equal. If I'm not mistaken the only thing the N1 has on the Droid is RAM. Can't really say speed because people have overclocked their Droid's to be as fast or faster than the N1. Oh and Sense UI but to each their own.

Does anyone know if:

Amazon give you the same 14-day return period as VZW?

If there are activation fees?
