Droid Incredible backorders

I ordered vzw's high gloss silicone case (already have my phone) on 5/8 and it's been on backorder. Hasn't even shipped yet...

When I went to the verizon store by my house they said that no Incredibles were available until at least the 5th of June, then, being the impatient person I am, I went to a kiosk at the mall near where I work, The girl at the counter had one left and told me she was able to get ahold of more far sooner than what the verizon reps are saying (this is a verizon certified kiosk btw). So just to verify I went to 3 other malls nearby in the city I live in, all of the attendants at the kiosks said the same thing, that they are able to get ahold of them and they have no clue why the main stores are saying this. 2 out of the other 3 kiosks I went to actually had about 3 or 4 incredibles still in stock.

I just decided to post this in case anyone else out there was as impatient as me and wants to get one right away

As frustrating as the long wait may have been, Verizon has so far stuck to the schedule they announced more than a week ago.

Geez, if there was a backorder like this on the iPhone, it would be all over the news. The Incredible is probably the best selling Verizon phone of all time, and I don't see any news in the mainstream media.

I ordered mine the afternoon of May 15th and received an email that my order had been processed on the 17th. I'm in AZ, should I expect it by 6/4 or 6/7? Because Verizon.com and the sales associate I talked to both said it'll ship by today at the latest when I ordered it.

Edit: Nvm, just got a shipping notification, should be here tomorrow by 3 pm.

So basically everyone is still getting their phones 12-14 days later? So we are backing off the backorder status it looks like. Maybe when I get the replacement Eris for my wife and it has the same call bug issue, the Incredibles will be off back stock so I can order one up for her lol.

5/18 orders

Ordered mine at a VZW store on 5/18 (14 days ago) and no shipping notification yet. I realize there was a federal holiday in that 14-day time span though. I see people who ordered on 5/17 have started to receive shipment notices; anyone ordered on the 18th and gotten a notice yet? Also, how long are we looking at once it's been shipped? 5-7 business days?

I ordered mine BEFORE memorial day and it feels like an eternity. I went to the Verizon store to look at the devour for my wife and found myself taking a minute staring at the incredible. (Ok I played with it for like 5 mins)

I was told 6/18 shipping overnight. HOWEVER, the rep said they are running a bit ahead of schedule.

I just ordered mine today (in-store). I was told by the 25th, I should have it in my hand, although there were customers getting theirs' earlier.

Anyone here get the Incredible a little earlier than what they said? Because I'd love to have it in my hand early.
