So I think I just bricked my phone after downgrading. Just loads a black screen and nothing else. How can I fix this if I can?

edit: When I plug it in the LED does light up saying it's charging and the phone vibrates when I hit the power button, but nothing other than the black screen.

Do you have an SLCD screen? If so check the ROMs/ Hacks section. There is a sticky. I believe it's a recovery issue. You should find a solution there.

I don't believe it's ans SLCD, I bought the phone in October. I'd go with that method however when I plug the phone into the computer the SD card isn't mounted.

So it turns out my screen may have just shiat itself while unrooting, because i got into the OS and received text messages and can play with the volume but nothing

It might be SLCD. I'm not sure when Verizon started selling SLCD Dincs, but I wouldn't say you definitely have an AMOLED unless you got it before, say, September.

Well now that I know the phone has booted into the OS and that my screen is just busted I'm going to Verizon and getting a new one. Manufacture defect excuse for the win!

you have an slcd. ive done this twice to my dinc(s), i never figured out how to fix it. i just took it to verizon and told them it wouldnt turn on for some reason lol

Ya I gave up, went to Verizon and showed them that I had the haptic feedback, the flashing LED notification like (I can get texts), but no go on the screen. Gotta love having the protection plan, although if I bricked it would it still be covered? haha

Nope bricking, rooting , any changes not officially provided by approved by etc voids your warranty

thats exactly what i did. showed them everything worked but the screen. the guy at verizon said "uhhh i dont think its supposed to do that." got a brand new dinc right out of the box then ended up bricking that one a couple weeks later. now i have a refurb with a bunch of dead pixels :( lmao. i was prepared to tell them i had no idea what rooting was if he asked :P

I tried to get them to give me a new one out of the box but they refused, despite the phone only being ~3 months old. So I've been sitting here without a phone, going nuts about it. If the phone has dead pixels you should be able to get rid of it for a new refurb. I'm fully ready to play completely dumb if I brick another one haha
