Droid is doing as it pleases...no control

So in the last week my rooted Droid has lost all function of the right side of the touch screen spontaneously. Now it will slide my notification bar, open random apps, take control of my keyboard, etc...I have literally lost control of this thing. I have not downloaded anything or changed any settings. I have been running cyanogen mod safely for over 6 months without issues. This came about randomly.

Im done with all this rooting business and want to be stock, however flashing a stock image on rom manager does nothing. I still have this annoying adwlauncher that I cant get rid of.

Any ideas? Help is much appreciated!

I had the same problem on one of mine but it was due to a slight condensation on one corner of the screen due to steam in my bathroom. I ended up having to have it replaced at no charge.

Ironically, my original Droid did this as we were leaving Best Buy on release day. It progressively got worse to the point it was doing this numerous times a day, even after a battery pull. Also replaced at NC from a VZW store.

I had a similar issue before, but I learned that it was because of a third party launcher that I was using. Have you tried using an alternate launcher (like launcher pro)?

I have been having the same issues starting today. However, I literally have NO control over my phone. I tried a battery pull, restarting, pluggin the Droid branded charger into the wall and my Mac, and doing the previous troubleshooting tips using both charging options. It seems it's getting worse by the minute, and is now at the point where I am unable to even accept a phone call.

I would LOVE to delete any/all third party apps to see if this solves the problem, but I can't even get to the home screen before Note Everthing, Phone Log, Messaging, etc opens and randomly performs nonsense tasks.

My question is: Is there a way to access the phone apps and uninstall them via USB? If I back up my phone and manually delete all the files that are on my phone through my computer, will that mess anything up in terms of basic function?

Thanks in advance. (It sucks this happens THE SAME DAY a studio calls me for a GREAT job opportunity making more than I have ever have before. Oh Karma, you childlike Medusa)
