Droid Lagging Badly

Lately I have had issues with my Droid lagging very badly sometimes when I try to make a call. When I hit the call button, it often takes several minutes before connecting the call. And heaven forbid I hit that call button again. Then the person I am calling will get another call as soon as we hang up. It also seems to lag more than it used to for other functions as well, but the call lag is the most problematic.

My phone is not rooted.

My contract is up and I am considering a new phone, but wondering whether or not I want another Droid because of this issue. I was also considering the Samsung Galaxy S4 since I also have the Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet, but I hear it has battery bloat issues. I have had to deal with that on my Mac...twice....so a little leery about that too.

Try wiping the system cache partition following these instructions: How-to - Clear system cache on Droid X & X2

You won't lose any important personal data. Wiping the system cache can clear out old temporary system data that can sometimes mess up the system, especially if it's left over from a prior Android version.
