Droid MAXX - camera help

I have done something. When I try to use the camera, it only uses the front facing camera and it only uses video mode.

The reverse camera icon is no longer on the display. What have I done? I have force/stopped the camera app,cleared cache and data, turned the phone on/off

This is a well-perused forum and I imagine everyone so far is stumped. I couldn't find any settings to adjust. Sorry and hoping someone comes along with an answer.

Factory reset is the only thing I could think of. Did you install or change anything before this started happening?

Yup.

Don't be afraid to do a reset.

Did a factory reset last night. Still not right. Front facing camera and video mode icon only. Guess I am going to Verizon today

Go to a Verizon store, tell them what's happening, make up some time sensitive story and ask them to swap it out for you.

I think your not realizing that to take a picture you tap anywhere on the screen . There is not actual camera button.

Not sure if that's maybe your issue ? If not go into settings apps and kook for camera. Clear data clear cache and try again.
