Droid MAXX: camera issues

Is anyone else having camera issues? I keep getting "camera error" and I have to close the camera app. I can't even take a picture.

Not here. Have you downloaded any new apps or updated something that uses the camera?

I wiped the cache partition through the Recovery menu. Seems to have worked. I will ask her to let me know if it reoccurs.

Please ignore my stupidity, but I still don't understand how this problem was resolved. Why wasn't the camera working? (Mine doesn't either, and I get the "camera error" message, too) And how did you resolve it? Thanks.
