Droid MAXX, Motorola Assist, Sleeping, Fav Callers Not working!

Set up favorite callers as well as "calling twice in 5 minutes" and neither will work.
Have correct times available too. I added the fav callers with the "star" in each contact.
Phone will alert as if someone is calling, BUT will not RING!! Some setting somewhere??
Using KK 4.4.

Miss the RAZR MAXX feature...worked every time.

Makes you miss the app that was on the RAZR Maxx, yes it does... I would highly suggest Tasker. Very effective, although a high learning curve. I just loathe the Assist app.

I couldn't get assist to do anything I wanted it to do, or what it was supposed to do, so I went to Tasker and have been happy. I even set up a rule that when my wife calls at night the phone goes to full volume in case she needs help with our baby. Its pretty slick. It will silence the phone when it sees work's WiFi ssid, then return the volumes when I leave. There are so many more things it can do, but I don't have the time to explore it all.

I really miss Smart Actions, as well. My issue with Assist is that it will silence my phone at night as expcted, but it doesn't turn the sound back up in the morning. So, I have to manually increase both the main volume and the volume for notifications every morning. A pain.

I read on another web site that this behavior might be cured by clearing the cache of the program by going into settings/apps and selecting any app under ALL apps that has Assist in the title and clearing the cache. You will then have to reset up Assist with times and driving/sleep/meeting modes. See if that helps. May also help the not ringing on favorites.

FYI

Recently had discussion email with Motorola.

The latest version of assist is ONLY compatible with kit kat.

If you're like me you have frozen the update because of difficulty keeping root and upgrading.

I had to temporarily install aptoide and install the previous version. Motorola will not email any versions.
If anyone needs this just ask. My version is 1.3.15

I wish I saw this before I got the 28 missed calls last night from my girlfriend (family emergency). This app completely failed me last night. I deactivated it after I read this thread. All my settings were correct. I have one favorite (my girlfriend) and also have "call twice"

The free profile app Llama has the ability to set "noisy" contacts, though I'm not sure about the double caller thing.
