DROID Maxx Pre-Order on Wirefly.

Hey Everyone, If you purchased the phone and your price went up, please PM me and I will look into this for you. We did have price increases, but for anyone who purchased the phone before the price increase, we will honor the lower price. If you need my assistance, please PM me your order number and I will address this for you on Monday. I am so sorry for any confusion.

You will honor the lower price... Like you are doing the people who ordered a product at your advertised price a favor...
Oh but they have to PM you or call and battle a customer a service rep in order to get back money you inappropriately and illegally in many states added to their credit cards. Well you agree to credit their account within 48 hours if some supervisor somewhere allows it.
Your reply only adds to my relief that I canceled my order with you 2 weeks ago.
Bad business practice from a bad company.

I am asking for a PM for customer privacy, so that I can fix an error. As a manager, I have the authority to correct these orders for our customers. I will address these on Monday, when I am back in the office.

I do apologize to you all, our customers, for this experience. It is not one that is normal for us, and we want to make this right for you. Thanks!

MY phone was on my doorstep last night! Haven't had a chance to do anything other than charge it since we were gone all week. No complaints about the packaging. Some of you guys...geez. Haven't checked to see what got charged, but no worries since Kim is on the job. Hoping to play later!

Dose the wirefly saga ever end? The Droid Maxx is now being advertised at 199.99 again.
I still think that wirefly should have contacted every owner that was overcharged with an apology instead of making the customers come to them frustrated and having to deal with a customer service team that did no know of this error. What about a customer that discovers the over charge 6 months from now? I see nothing on the website labeled "If we inadvertently overcharged click here"
All I see coming from Kim is putting the error on the customer, making them contact a supervisor and argue and wait while your issue is in investigated is plain BS pure and simple.

Everybody needs to calm down. My invoice also shows 249. but when you get down to subtotal and total it shows 199. I wonder how many folks freaked because they didn't get to the bottom.

I'm pretty sure everyone who is upset over Wirefly's $199/$249 pricing is upset because their debit/credit cards were actually charged $249 when they preordered at the $199 price, like myself. When I preordered, the email receipt showed $199 per phone. When the phones shipped we were charged $249 per phone...we only realized this from seeing the $500 missing from our checking account instead of $400. It doesn't sound like only a select few people were affected by the pricing error. They issued a credit of $100 back to us ($50 for each phone) but we now have to wait up to 10 business days to receive it.

Do you feel confident that you are going to receive your credit in 10 days? Home much time did you spend on the phone dealing with this issue? Do you feel wirefly is taking responsibly for the error and its important to them to make it right? Have they offered you anything to help make up for the trouble they have caused you? If you were dealing with a reputable company you would say yes to all those questions.
My 2 cents...

-I do feel confident I will see a credit within 10 business days. They sent a confirmation email that they have processed the credit on their end.
-It took about 15 minutes on the phone to deal with the pricing issue. It took being transferred to a supervisor to correct it.
-Wirefly is not taking full responsibility for the error, as they were at first defensive about the price we were charged ($249). Repeatedly we had to tell them our original invoice showed the $199 price. In the beginning it didn't sound like they wanted to honor the $199 price.
-They certainly did not offer anything to 'make it right' other than finally agreeing to credit our card. I didn't expect anything other than that...they can hardly communicate what they're trying to say in English and they must not have their 'listening ears' on because you have to explain things to them 3 times before they get it.

-I, for one, will not be purchasing through Wirefly again. Their customer service is atrocious. I'll report back when I see the refund.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know, again, that if you pre-ordered your Droid Maxx, and the price changed - should only be for customers who placed their pre-orders on or before 8/28/13, we are making sure that we correctly adjust your price on your order. Please PM me your order information and I will make sure we make corrections today. Thanks!

I really wish I hadn't ordered my Droid Maxx through Simplexity (aka Wirefly):
-The order took a month to arrive, with no updates as to the status until two days before it shipped.
-I was overcharged, and had to spend 30min on the phone with customer service before they agreed to 'waive' the extra charge on my credit card. They never accepted fault, rather acted like they were doing me a favor...even though I had a copy of the original invoice with the correct amount I had authorized.
-The Droid Maxx I received was defective: the camera lens (glass part) was already coming detached when I unpacked the phone from the box. THIS IS NOT SIMPLEXITY'S FAULT! Rather, I'm worried because I just sent the phone back to them for a replacement, and will probably end up waiting another month or so.

Overall: I regret buying my phone online. I made a big mistake. What a big pain in the **** just to save some money. I thought Verizon was a pain to deal with, but Simplexity has been an even bigger pain.

What a headache bwww1...
Did you have to pay for shipping back to Simplexity? Are they sending you a new phone or do they have to check out the return first?

I despise companies that have no respect for their customers. It seems that no matter what Kim has posted on here the underlying attitude of this company towards their valued customers is nothing short of disgusting. Not one person has come forward and posted what a good experience they had buying from wirefly.com. Not one person has said how helpful the CSR was. Not one person has come forward to say that they have taking any responsibility for there errors.

Well I feel better now...

I hope Kim will step up to the plate and take care of bwww1, maybe even send him a free case and some screen savers for his trouble.

Verizon Now has the Droid Maxx Listed for $199. Even though I brought mine September 27, from them & paid $299, I put up a lil fuse and was able to get my $100 refunded towards my bill. Which is fine with me. I also found out after speaking with Comcast that you have to be a customer to get that $100 visa gift for signing up for service thru them. Should have known it was a catch smdh.

I call BS on the fact that you got a hondo back. I bought on the same day and they just told me to blow. Talked to 3 people after asking fo each of their managers and they all gave me the same answer. "outside of the 14 day period, you're screwed. Now beat it." No chance at all.

That threat would be pretty empty for me. I have 4 lines and it would cost me somewhere around $900 to leave. They have me by the short ones and they know it. I'm sure the manager looks at my plan and says "screw this guy. He's stuck."

I've been trying this for waay too long - first with the Verizon30 code and now this. It's over.

WOW!! Well I guess I really got lucky then, Because I got a special rate plan offer as well. Unlimited Talk & Text, 2GB Data for $60 Flat ( No $40 Fee). But clearly that wont work for you with 4 lines.

I know that people probably aren't checking this anymore but I wanted to update anyone who ordered through the Comcast method. I just received my $100 dollar Visa gift card from Comcast and I do not nor have I ever had a Comcast account. Apparently that did not matter. I had pretty much written the whole thing off and figured I just spent full price on the phone. This is different a plus!

Hope everyone else gets there's as well. Love the phone!

I am breathing again!
I am not a Comcast customer and I got my $100 gift card on 11-2!

Thanks to all who provided the Comcast purchase method!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too was resigned to the fact I wouldn't get the card since I am not a Comcast customer. A few weeks ago, I received an email saying that I would get a card 30 days after signing up for Comcast. Since I Comcast doesn't serve my area, I was bummed. But lo and behold, I got a $100 Visa debit card on 11/3. Comcast rocks! Thanks to those who shared the Comcast info! I love my DROID MAXX!
