Droid Mini replacement battery

My old battery was draining much faster than when I first got the phone. Bought a "new" battery on EBay, for $13, had it installed. New battery life is no better than old battery, in fact with this one the phone is shutting off when Data is on and battery hits say 30%.

should i replace battery again? is $13 for a new EG30 way too low????

Replace it - but never allow it to drain past 40% (50% is an even better recharge point). Lithium batteries are not deep-discharge devices.

i put it in Safe Mode, to see how the battery drains down.

maybe i should put it in Airplane mode when i go to bed?

i really hate charging the phone every day, my goal is every 48 hours.
