Droid Razr benchmarks got you feelin good about the GNex?

I just saw the benchmarks for the Razr, which is packing the TI OMAP 4430 (not the 4460 like the GNex) and I was pretty impressed. To sum up: it was only marginally slower than the SGS2 in Quadrant and destroyed all other phones (including the iphone 4s) in SunSpider.

Considering the 4460's GPU is clocked about 30% faster than the 4430 (304MHz vs 384), we could very well see graphics benchmarks similar to the SGS2 with browser benchmarks that are far superior. And that's before taking in consideration a possible performance boost from ICS.

Could the GNex be the fastest phone on the market when it finally lands?

Honestly it doesn't really matter. I'm sure either phone will do whatever you want it to with ease. But I guess it does give you a nice fuzzy feeling :)

The only benchmark metrics that matter to me are network speed and webpage rendering. If there's a smooth experience browsing, I'm going to LOVE the GN... Unless I can get a GNote!

To be honest, I don't think the benchmark tells you that much about performance at all, although you can take it into your consideration to an extent.

It still has a lot to do with how optimized the benchmarks are to work with the phone's software as well.
