1.5Ghz huh. I plan on under clocking that if I can.

why would anyone do that? specially if this device will get 3300 mAh as rumored. add to that an unlocked bootloader (fingers crossed) and you will get the ultimate device for a long period of time (forget about the quad core gimmick which only some apps hardly use).

I forgot the battery size...lol.

I would have been 10x more excited about this had the new HTC 1080p beast not been right next to it Haha. Still this one sounds pretty good! Can't wait for pics!

I don't know if this is the same thing as the benchmark but... I was in a VZW store last night and the sales rep said that "the Maxx HD appeared in their system yesterday." He said no dates but figured Aug. The wait continues...

I am just thinking of how useless it would be if they decided to delay it even more.

the specs are getting older and older by the day (except for the 3300mAh battery capacity which is still not 100% confirmed), with multiple nexus-es by the end of this year, who would care about this device? ... unless they are pushing this to be one of the next nexus-es ???

Irkan,

you are very right. I was really pschyed about this phone, but my interest wanes as each day passes. As you stated, the longer this phone takes to come out, the less exciting it will be. the specs (other than the battery) are going to be "par for the course." This isn't setting up to be the next superphone.....just another good smartphone.

I completely agree. I probably would have bought this phone no questions asked a month or two ago... now... Ehh... we'll see. The new HTC "Rezound successor" is looking incredibly future proof. Hopefully Moto steps up the DROID version of the ATRIX HD

At this point, even though 2GBs of RAM isn't THAT important, I'm not upgrading to a phone that still only has 1GB. The SG3 has 2GB's, why come out with a flagship that doesn't at least match the current one...esp being released long after. I don't get why HTC and LG etc. are still coming out with phones that only have 1GB of ram, the same as their predecessor. Example. Spectrum 2 ...same phone with ICS, bigger screen and NFC..why would I I buy that? Phones have been out for over a year with those specs..Why would I chose that phone over a SG3 that will probably end up being around the same price. It just seems dumb to me.

A RAZR HD (as speculated) is nothing more than my current RAZR with a bigger better screen, nfc, faster processor and a larger battery. Why would I use an upgrade/pay full price for a phone that's on par with phones that came out LAST year? Everyday they wait, the less and less likely I'm going to get it. (Admittedly, I am a Motorola person so I might end up anyways) I'm hoping you're right when you say they might have delayed it to be a Nexus.

That would be awesome, and I hope Google forced it to have better specs (IF this was the case, who knows). Hopefully they can do something about the HUGE bezel on the bottom and top of the phone that was seen on the leaked pictures (doubtful). I see no point in having on screen buttons if the bezel is even bigger than my current RAZR.

Only time will tell...

My only question is.....when has a phone came out the following year....with supercalifragilisticexpialidocious specs than phones from a previous year?

It hasnt happened yet.

Only thing separating high end phones from other high end phones right now is 1GB of ram, maybe dual core vs. quad core. I always look at the overall picture. At the end of the day....will the specs mean more to me for my wants n needs?

Some ppl like/dont like Touchwiz, Blur, Sense UI, etc.
Phone and data reception plays a part.
Removable batteries play a part.
Removable storage plays a part.
Look n feel plays a part.

At the end of the day.....1GB or 2GB of ram isnt enough of a deal breaker for me. I have a phone with supposedly weaker specs than other phones from last year. My wants n needs tell me it didn't matter and I didn't care.

I have a RAZR also. And about the Ram....some phones have a custom UI that might need the extra boost from more ram. Moto should think about their Webtop app and add more ram tho.

Some of us actually use a smart phone as a phone. That's the reason I'm still on a droid X but seriously looking at this new device; regardless of ram. And the main reason why the SGIII will not be in my pocket is that it does not have a phone capable of pulling in decent signals in my area. (A co-worker just returned one and re-activated their Razr.)

LG might be a usable phone in this area; not sure. But I would be a lunch that knowing Moto phones over the past many years, their radios are a heck of a lot better than Samsung!

What delay? Was there a release date I missed?

The phone hasn't even been announced yet.

The old Webtop is dead.

Webtop devices that are getting ICS now use ICS's tablet mode.

..and the ATRIX HD, which ships with ICS, doesn't even get that.
