droid to nexus :)

Hey guys my name is Eddie.
I came from the Motorola Droid, and got a nexus one.
I'm not new to the android game so I'm not going to ask silly questions
My question is did any of you receive your phone with an older software?

Hey Eddie, I'll let someone else tackle your question but I have one for you if you don't mind. Since you owned both phones how does the screens compare to each other? Is the Nexus really that terrible in the sun compared to the Droid?

I don't think it is bad and its not as bright but its very vivid and nuclear LOL. I guess a lot of complaints people post probably come from a flip phone with a low Res and a screen that doesn't mind sun.you can't have both just yet. But the screen on n1 compariing to Droid is much better IMO

Mine had older software when I got it. Was prompted to update when the activation was finished and all was good.

Yeah I was prompted within an hour
I wasn't really concerned but rather interested if its a coommon thing.
