Droid Turbo 2 extremely slow charging

Mine as well this is awful no charger is working via USB port and I dont really want to buy a wireless pad or wait for motorola to send me a new phone. Definitely must be related to the last recent update because ever since my phone has been acting funny and now will barely charge after a full night plugged in to my turbo charger it was only at 60%

After the 6.0 update my mom has been experiencing slow charging on her Turbo 2. Last night she left it on the charger and when she woke up it was only at 30 percent. I tried a restart and it did not seem to help. So far it seems to be a software problem since it is right after an update, but there is a chance it could be a hardware problem that came at just the right time. I am thinking of trying a factory reset but I wanted to see if you guys have anything to add before I do so. Thanks in advance.

I have had 3 Turbo 2 phones, 2 returned to warranty and last one still using it. They seem to get a bad connection after unplugging and plugging in chargers like car and home. I now can only slow charge and it takes forever.... I am going to Verizon and buying the turbo wireless charge pad so I can get quick full charges again. Hope this helped!

this is turbo 2 number three. original quit charging, replacement had boot loop problem, replacement for the replacement was working fine till the nougat update hit. now my battery life sucks and i havent turbo charged since the update. i am in a rural area and am emergency on call for seniors life alert. a constantly dead phone that takes days to charge dosnt work. 2-28-17 updated to 7.0, factory reset 3-21-17 no improvement. Verizon will not trade me out to a different model phone. this thing is still under payment plan.

I too have had charging issues, until I realized that my only working charger (a car charger) was a Samsung fast charger... Tried my roommate's charger, lo and behold, no charging issues... Just ordered two.

I am having the same issue with my car charger. I am using the factory charger but get an error message saying "slow charge use factory charger to charge faster' or something like that. It charges ok with the home charger but drops to 97% the minute I open it after charging. And yes, this did start after the 6.0 update and I cleared the cache.

I know most likely this is long since dead...but I'd like to point out that in my experience with repairing Motorola smart phones is that they consistently have USB port quality issues. The fact that it seems like folks here aren't having issues with wireless charging, but are having slow charging problems with USB would be an indication that the charging port was/is the problem. I had that exact issue with a previous Motorola device ....and it was USB the charging port and replacing it resolved my troubles. Replacing the charging port for the device will more than likely resolve the issue for many of those listing issues with slow charging as well, I would hazard a guess.
