Droid Turbo and Outlook app - not sending emails

With previous Android Motorola phones, there weren't issues with sending emails and showing in the Sent folder. But the Turbo doesn't have a 'native' email app so I downloaded the Outlook app. Many emails that I 'send' don't show in 'Sent' folder (or received by recepitent). Tech support says they're aware of the problem and are working on it. But for now I'm stuck without a trustworthy email app.

Type Mail has proven superb for me - has everything you could want & is highly customizable.

Re: Droid Turbo and Outlook app - not sending emails

My Turbo came with a stock email app, not sure why you don't have it. That being said there are plenty of good email apps. K9 mail is popular, I've used Maildroid Pro for years now and like it. Not flashy but very functional.

Yes, the turbo has a native mail app (and it is terrible, so it's worth using something else), but the native Gmail app can now also be set up to use with non-google accounts, using IMAP or POP3.

Same problem with Outlook not sending emails. Do any other email apps open Outlook calendar or Outlook Calendar invites? The only reason I was using that app was to be able to access my Outlook calendar (which many businesses use) without my laptop. Thanks

I use Nine, but I am on an Exchange server. Have tried several outlook like apps in the past and this one works the best for me. Syncs all of my outlook data, mail, schedule, contacts and tasks.

Re: Droid Turbo and Outlook app - not sending emails

Thanks wck. I have several different accounts/services each with different servers. Will try it.

Look into "Sunrise. It is a nice calendar app that will synchronize with Exchange and with Outlook.com calendars. They have recently been acquired by Microsoft so I would expect them to improve with time.

+1

Sunrise, yes - a great app, though I've never used it with exchange, I do use it with Google and iCloud calendars.

One minor bug - if you try to change the default alert time to something else, it keeps the default and adds the new alert time as well. Otherwise, it's a solid app, better than the stock calendar app.

Re: Droid Turbo and Outlook app - not sending emails

'Today Calendar' has been working very well for me.
