Droid turbo - unresponsive, undersized lock screen from normal

[AC Question]

Randomly my turbo will make the lock screen look like this. Imgur/njoTuWn with the black border and all on screen. I cannot unlock the phone, the hard buttons work, and I can turn the phone off (the normal, albeit shrunk power off dialog appears). The only way I have found to temp fix my problem is to press hard on the lower 1/3 of the screen. This also worked for someone else who has the turbo when this problem arose for them.

Any solution?

I get that smaller lockscreen from time to time on any android device I use w nova.

Any chance you are exposing your phone to a magnet? I have a magnetic car mount for my Droid Turbo and if I place the magnet high on the back of the phone, I will get the miniature lock screen.

I sure do but rarely get it then. I will try moving it and seeing if that triggers it.
