DROID TURBO: What was your prior phone?

As you said about the capacitive buttons making the screen bigger, also, my Gnex had a horrible button burn in. Wont have that here. I actually like the capacitive, doesnt bother me too much that they wont get upgraded to the lollipop theme. No burn in and larger screen is more important

I didn't see a thread on this so figured I'd start one.

What phone did everyone have before the Turbo and are you happy so far?

For me I'll be the odd man out and state I had a BlackBerry Q10 before the Turbo(s3 prior to q10). I loved my Q10 but the lack of real apps slowly started to take a toll of me, I found myself using my tablet for certain apps more and more over the past few months. Even though I could download apk's and whatnot most didn't work well with the Q10 screen.

I'm enjoying my Turbo like crazy but still miss the BlackBerry HUB the most, I'm still hoping that Verizon and app developers play nice over the next year or 2 and I can switch back down the road.

That sums it up for me exactly.

Let's see, my history of smartphones:

Blackberry Storm
Blackberry Storm II
Samsung Fascinate
HTC Rezound
Motorola Moto X
Droid MAXX
Droid Turbo

If Motorola maintains their quality I do not think I will be leaving that family of phones now. I did not like Touchwiz or the fragile feel of the Fascinate, the Rezound went through the battery in about 1 hour lived on the charger. Blackberry well they are just not competitive in the consumer market.

Motorola has been sturdy battery life outstanding and I like the light overlay on Android. It is a winner.

S3 (which was a great phone for the first year and then became terrible) to an iPhone 5 to my turbo. Love my turbo. Almost stock Android is so much better than touchwiz android

Motorola Bag Phone circa 1995
Samsung Convoy
BlackBerry ????
BlackBerry Bold 9930
BlackBerry Z10

I miss a lot of things about my BlackBerry and I can echo many of the BlackBerry comments that have already been made.

I am hoping for the day that BlackBerry goes Android.

In the meantime, I am willing to be won over by the DROID Turbo, but we still have a ways to go there.

I came to Verizon from Sprint. I used an S5 on Sprint and I specifically came to Verizon for the Droid Turbo.

The reviews I read really had me sold. So far I am extremely happy with my decision.

BB Curve > BB Tour > Droid X > Droid X 2 > HTC Rezound > G Nexus > Razr Maxx HD > Maxx> S5 > 5S > Maxx

Current Maxx owner. Played with the Turbo in store, not nearly enough difference for me to upgrade, as I pay retail to keep UDP.
Paid $450 For my Maxx December '13 and before that got a Razr Maxx HD on CL, which had a better battery than my Maxx but lagged at times.
Turbo seemed great, but i'm going to wait out this VOLTE malarky...
