Im wondering if someone can do a good overview of the differences between the phones, any reasons to take one over the other. Also how is the ability to upgrade the OS on a droid (is it similar to BB?). I am a droid newbie and am trying to learn as much as possible, but the info just isnt really out there.

I saw one blog that said the Eris is the low end version of droid for verizon. Is it really the low end version?

it's a low end version in the sense that it's running android 1.5 (but has the sense UI) a slower 528MHZ ARM11 processor, less ram, comes bundled with a smaller microSD card, and no physical keyboard.

but it is half the price. so if those things aren't a big deal to you, it's priced lower than an old G1 on contract from tmobile, making the best value for the dollar on the android platform at the moment
