The thing you have to remember is nearly everyone here is going to be biased to the Droid X because that is what they chose for themselves based on what they were needing/wanting in a smartphone. If you posted the same question in the Droid 2 forum you would get everyone trying to sway you to the Droid 2 citing things they didn't like about the Droid X.
They are both great phones. Get the one you want & not what someone else wants you to get because YOU are the one who has to use it for the next 20-24 months, not them.
If your dad is going to give you grief over the $35 restocking fee if you do decide to exchange the Droid X, just pay it yourself. Good luck with your decision.
