Droid X problem with deleting from folder

Hello all I seem to be having the same problem another person was having here is the link to his post http://forum.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/23252-folder-problem.html

The only reason I am starting a new thread is the suggestion he was given does not work for me, but it is the same issue.

I created folders on my Droid X when I try to send any app to the trash bin I long press and as soon as I go to bring it to the trash it either opens up a different app or resorts to the home screen. It happens with any app in any folder. I can delete the entire folder, and create a new one but once I add apps again, and try just to delete the app it again goes back to the home screen or opens another program. The other issue if I try to drag a folder to another one of the seven windows it leaves one copy on the window I am moving from, and puts a new copy on the other window. If I try to delete the folder from the old window it deletes the duplicate as well.

My droid is running 2.1 update1 it is rooted these are the apps I have installed

I think you need to do a middle step in the delete process...

press/hold icon ... wait until the folder disappears and you are holding the app icon (still pressed) on the actual screen with the trash can at the bottom ... drag/drop into trash can.

Works for me. Hope this helps.

Yeah I have done that forgot to include that part, but it still does not work. It orginally was working fine, but do not know at what point it stopped working

Okay I have found out something new when a folder is in the window all the way to the left I can not delete applications in the folder. However when the folder is in any other window I can delete the application.. Any ideas??
