My phone has been rebooting by itself a few times a day for the past week or so. Today when it did a reboot, it came up with a yellow exclamation point inside a silver tri-angle and the droid guy under the tri-angle. Anyone have any idea what the hell is going on?

That was the stock recovery screen.

Sometimes, rebooting can be caused by a corrupted file/filesystem on your sd card. You can try backing up the contents on your sd card and reformatting it. Then move stuff back in small bunches till you find a bad file, or you have everything back on your card.

I had the same thing with the first DX i bought. It would reboot up to twenty times in a row. I would have to unlock it real quick during the reboot for it to stop. Verizon replaced it without a hassle. It was rebooting by itself sitting on the counter in the store. They said the rebooting is usually from a corrupt file. They also said that the task manager i had on the phone would cause it too. He said version 2.3.340 has a built in task manager that will automatically shut down programs after a period of inactivity.

20 times in a row......what a headache.....

Upgrade the cheap *** SD card and be gold.....simple. Get a class 4-10

Thank you for all the feedback. I did a factory reset and then rooted it, now I'm not having the problems.
