The first modern traffic light was invented here. In 3 days, Droid X designate #17, the latest in smart phones will be here.

"The modern electric traffic light is an American invention. As early as 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah, policeman Lester Wire invented the first red-green electric traffic lights."

Previous #8 tweets listed being in Dixie and where the rocket was built that went to the moon. I originally hoped it was in Huntsville, AL but now I'm confused.

Look up Saturn V rockets on Wikipedia (the kind that went to the moon)... Parts of them were made all over the southern US so the clue is about as random as it gets. Huntsville, AL and New Orleans, LA are two that spring to mind, but there are others.

For #17 previous clues: major metropolitan area, can take just about anything you throw at it, is near the home of the world’s largest cement plant, The first modern traffic light was invented here.

Or do we start to disregard early clues since these things move?

Another tweet I am following thinks it is Detroit, MI.

The first four-way, three-color traffic light was created by police officer William Potts in Detroit, Michigan in 1920

I would say the most recent clues are probably going to be the best.

With a 1Ghz processor Droid X designate #21 is a center of power. Good thing it will be in this city in 2 days.

Still thinking its DC

Welp so much for me getting excited and hoping one would be in Huntsville. Now its probably in Birmingham. Oh well i guess we'll find out once they give the Lat and Long

Droid X Designate #17 must be Ohio, because the is where the first 'modern' traffic light was invented. (source:Who invented the traffic light?)

Yeah this is another mystery wrapped in a riddle: "The earliest electric traffic lights include Lester Wire's two-color version set up in Salt Lake City circa 1912, James Hoge's system (US patent #1,251,666) installed in Cleveland by the American Traffic Signal Company in 1914, and William Potts' 4-way red-yellow-green lights introduced in Detroit beginning in 1920. New York City traffic towers began flashing three-color signals also in 1920."

Tomorrow, Droid X designate #20 will use its 1Ghz processor to decide an important question. What's more famous here: Tea or beer?
