Droid X Screen Rotation Problem

One of our employees has a Droid X that has had an unusual problem develop.
When the screen is set to Auto Rotate, it will rotate to one side, and not follow the way the device is held. The home screen is in portrait mode, but it wont move away when in an application.
I shut off Auto Rotate, which keeps it in portrait mode, but this isnt the best answer.
I tried searching for similar issues, and didnt find any.
