Droid X wipe

I just upgraded to Gingerbread. And I need to do a wipe to get rid of the "sync" icon. When I go in to reset mode and get the triangle with the little Droid...pressing the search button on the end is supposed to get you into the options. Well mine does nothing when I press search...Anyone have any idea...is there another way to access the wipe menu?

you can wipe from the settings menu in the phone as well. menu>settings>privacy>factory data reset

Nope, it changed in GB. Now you have to press both volume keys at the same time.
