Droid2 volume problems?

Hey guys. I've looked around on here for an answer that I can't seem to find. I had the original Droid1 that decided to take a bath. I received my replacement phone today, the Droid2. Everythings great except one thing. The speaker volume for ringtones/alerts is no where near as loud as my Droid1. All volume levels are turned up all the way. Weird thing is the volume for YouTube videos is normal. Do you guys think I have a defective phone or is the speaker just not as loud as the original?

I don't know...I noticed the same thing. Perhaps it just seems softer, as the D2's speaker sounds less "tinny" and if that's the case, perhaps the attenuation of the higher frequencies being played back through the speaker of the D2 is the reason it seems softer than the D1.

When I was running stock everything was about the same as on my D1 except for the unlock sound - that was incredibly quiet. Now that I'm on a custom rom everything works fine. All of that to say, it sounds like there might be something wrong with the speaker or the software. My guess - if YouTube volume is coming through, it's software. Maybe try a factory data reset.
