Drop down bar at top not displaying icons when they are off, after update on my Huawei p20 pro

I had a system update last night and this morning my pull down status bar on my home screen isn't displaying the items properly, e.g they only appear if turned on so I have to guess where data/torch etc is to turn it on! Please help! Thanks

If you mean the Quick Launch icons, tap the pencil at the top next to the settings button.
