Just wanna say I dropped my brand new Note 4 twice in a day, both times face down from chest height.

Luckily I got an Otterbox Commuter case! Phew!

I dropped mine twice last night. Once sliding right off the table at dinner landing on its corner side. No dent or anything on the metal frame. Then once again trying to video and slipped out of my hands falling face flat down. Screen is still perfect. No screen protector or case. Got lucky for 2015 :)

So I had an Otterbox on my Motorola Atrix long time ago, I was snapping a photo and dropped it in an electrical control cabinet I was working in. It landed face down on a grounding strap that had a bunch of screws sticking straight up, one of the screws penetrated the very center of the screen. The screen protector was nice enough to hold together the gorilla glass, classic bulls-eye!

u sure u weren't coming out from an hangover both those times...I mean it's the 1st of the year and already a bad start...LOL!

My concern is how much drop impact the Cameria OIS can take before breaks.

Also, since I use the S Pen and there are now pressure sensors on the Note 4 screen, would it be wise to attach a screen protector? Would the screen protector affect the S Pen from working correctly with pressure sensors on Note 4 screen?

OIS is pretty mature technology so don't think that is a problem. More of a chance of cracking some connection interface chip/board thingy.

I use a tempered glass screen protector and no issue about sensitivity or the S-Pen, it seems to be exactly the same as no protector except if I scratch it I will remove it and put a new one on.

I drop mine in my UAG case all the time. No damage to either the phone or the case. I'd hate to think what would happen without that case...it's so easy to damage the frame on this thing...

I am naked .. I am just very careful when going to handle it... but anything can happen :).

Based on my experience screen protectors wont interfere. I've owned the note 2, 3, 4 and the original note 10. I think the pressure sensor is in the pen because I've used cheap plastic screens, and tempered glass.

Hahaha...for a split second, I forgot what this thread is about (just got out of bed and haven't had any coffee yet). Out of context, you're comment is just dirty. LOL.

Thanks for the early morning laugh!
