I dropped my dinc from about 4 inches and the screen broke. To my surprise the entire front of the phone is a single glass or whatever material screen so when I dropped it it landed flat on the floor causing cracks from the sensors all the way to the optical track pad. All of the capacitive buttons are chopped up into small pieces as is half the actual screen. Guess that dam screen protector and case did not do anything. But now my question is can I get this repaired. I am typing this with my dinc so it is still good just the cracks are obviously a distrubance. I'm still barely a year into my contract with big red so a new phone is not an option unless it'll cost me more than a hundred bucks to repair it. Then ill save up to quit my Verizon contract to get an evo:-X

You can get new digitized and put in yourself, since is only year old would probably hit insurance and get Inc 2.

that sucks... i have dropped my incredible many times from about 5 feet onto tile floor with not case or screen protectors and it doesn't even have a scratch O_o

Dang that sucks. I've dropped my phone twice, both times from about shoulder height onto concrete. The first time it landed on a top corner and mashed the corner in but all else was good. The second time it landed flat on it's face. The case I have must have saved it. It's solid with a raised lip around the front edge. Can't remember make / model of the case though. It slides easily into a holster too. Anyway, good luck!

This happened to me as well. Just got a replacement from Asurion yesterday. Was disappointed that the Seidio case did nothing. Will get an OtterBox instead...

Yeah that suks about your phone, hopefully you can get it fixed. Replacing tho insurance probably next less expensive way. If your just about a year into a 2 year contract it will cost over 200.00 to cancel out contract.
I dropped mine too 5 feet from ground, landed on back, battery flew out. on concrete floor but no damage.

Ugh.. I feel for you, I dropped my old Palm Pre Plus before I got the DInc.. it was on my lap when I stepped out of the Suburban and it skidded across the concrete parking lot and under the car. No case on it, of course, and it didn't fare to well.. didn't break the screen, but scuffed it up pretty well and caused it to oreo a bit more than it already was. Now I have a cheap, generic plastic case on the DInc now and it works really well. Got it at one of those silly kiosks at the mall. I've dropped this one a couple of times (butterfingers) with no damage. Best money I ever spent.
